Two-time NASCAR Canadian Tire champion Andrew Ranger turned in the fastest lap in qualifying at Miller Motorsports Park on Saturday to secure his first Coors Light Pole Award in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.
Andrew Ranger turned in a lap of 92.966 seconds (85.192 mph) around the 2.2-mile road course as teams prepare for the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Grand Prix of Utah. Second quickest in Saturday's qualifying was a lap of 93.235 seconds by Luis Martinez Jr., who had topped the speed chart in practice earlier in the day. Two-time series champion Eric Holmes was third quickest, followed by Michael Self and Greg Pursely, who leads the championship standings coming into the event. Last season, Ranger won his first pole in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East on the road course at Lime Rock Park.
