“This year we will run Alain Prost’s MP4-5B TAG car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. When we do that, we do a complete job, doing the brakes, master cylinders, all suspension check, a new fuel tank and engine verification,” Trundle pointed out.

Trundle said he has two favorite cars. “First of all the MP4-1 because that’s the car with the first carbon chassis in the world and the MP4-4, the Honda turbo car, because I was chief mechanic. In 1988, we won 15 out of the 16 races.”
The only race lost happened in Monza. Ayrton Senna led from pole, while Alain Prost retired with engine failure. Late in the race, Senna tried to lap Jean-Louis Schlesser’s Williams at the first chicane, only for the two cars to tangle. Senna was out and into first place moved the Ferrari of Gerhard Berger.
The mighty MP4-4 -- designed by Gordon Murray -- was the most dominant car in the history of Formula 1.
