Canadian Jacques Villeneuve stayed in the top-15 during the first round of the 2015 Brazilian V8 stock car championship, in Goiana.
The former F1 world champion, who was sharing the wheel of Shell Racing's entry with Ricardo Zonta, finished 15th out of 33 starters. The pair crossed the finished line almost a full minute after race winners Ricardo Mauricio and Nestor Girolami of Eurofarma RC. DTM regular Antonio Felix da Costa managed to pip WTCC reigning champion Pechito Lopez for the last spot on the podium. Reenacting a famous rivalry in motorsport, Nicholas Prost and Bruno Senna unfortunately didn't star in this race. Prost finished 11th, Senna 24th.
