Due to the incredible demand for tickets since going on sale on Monday, November 13th, Stock-Car Montréal announced today that an additional grandstand has been added for the NASCAR Busch Series race weekend to be held August 3-4, 2007 at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in Montreal. The new "Petty" stand will be located in front of the pit lane next to the Waltrip Grandstand. source: Normand Prieur "We are extremely pleased to add a new grandstand responding to the high demand from NASCAR fans," said Martin Spalding, General Manager of Stock-Car Montréal and promoter of the event. "Although we were not really surprised by the request for seats located in front of the pit lane, we were amazed of how quickly the first ones were sold. With all the action going on in the pits as cars come in for fuel and tires, especially during a caution period, these grandstands offer prime viewing for real race fans." Some seats are still available in the Waltrip Grandstand that went on sale last Monday, but now fans can also order tickets in the new Petty Grandstand. The location of the new stand can be seen online at www.circuitgillesvilleneuve.ca The August 3-4, race weekend at Gilles Villeneuve Circuit will feature Round 23 of the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series schedule on Saturday afternoon. Race action begins Friday with the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series 400-kilometer endurance sprint featuring the Daytona Prototypes.
