Who would have thought a few years ago that this years most technologically advanced automobile would be available from Cadillac? The completely redesigned Deville includes a base model by the same name, a luxury version tagged the DHS and a very capable sport variation dubbed the DTS. Overall, the look is original and attractive both inside and out.

At first glance at the fully optioned DTS, it looks as though someone has pried the crest off its grille. This is actually due to the addition of Raytheon's Night Vision system. Night Vision might very well be one of the most significant new safety features since anti-lock brakes and air bags. Using heat sensing infrared technology, anything above air temperature in your direct view appears on a HUD (head-up display). This display appears at the bottom of your windscreen just low enough not to impair forward visibility yet still see it clearly. The ability to see vehicles, people, animals and objects that would otherwise be invisible beyond the headlights is priceless.

Speaking of things technical, Cadillac owners will feel at ease while negotiating unknown roadways due to an online live advisor at their beckon call. OnStar will take care of you whether you've been in a major accident, need directions, are having vehicle problems, experience an emergency, or just need to find a good restaurant.

Digital wizardry aside, the Cadillac DTS is a formidable sedan. Always a strong point with large American cars, highway cruising doesn't get much better. Cadillac takes the full-size sedan driving experience a step further endowing the DTS with an extremely capable chassis with both a compliant ride and precise handling. This poise and agility causes the DTS to feel much smaller than it is.
