Now There's No Reason to Compromise
Finally, a sports car that I can consider buying! With four doors and four spacious seats I could take my entire clan for a day's drive or a weeklong jaunt across the country.

It's easy to see that Mazda has its'
RX-8 targeting young families and young-minded grandparents. While unreasonable for anyone with kids to have it as an only car, with a
Tribute or
MPV in the garage the new RX becomes a very practical second vehicle.

Do I sound like I'm justifying the purchase of a sports car? While it wouldn't be the first time, I'm serious when I say there's plenty of room for four. Just to prove it I picked up two 20-something male hitchhikers while driving from Pemberton to Whistler, B.C. After they stopped jumping up and down with excitement they climbed in, hardly a problem for either of them despite the one in the back towering 6'2". Asking him if he was comfortable he stated, "It's the most comfortable I've been on this stretch of highway yet". Furthermore he specifically commented on how "spacious" the RX-8's back seat was.
While his regular rides are obviously not Maybach limousines, what he had to say speaks volumes about the new model's clever packaging. At first there doesn't seem to be much room in the back 'buckets', but after personally slipping my 5'8" frame into one I found ample head, shoulder and hip room.
