Since When Did the Words Corolla and Sport Ever Mix?

I finally had a Friday night to myself, an unusual circumstance. I'm either working or working, so it was a nice change. I

decided that I would go out dancing with a couple of friends and a new dating prospect, and that I would pick them up on the way. Now, it's not everyday that I'd drive 45 minutes out of my way, and in the complete opposite direction to pick anyone up, but then again it's not everyday that I have a car as economical and fun to drive as the new Corolla XRS. It turned out that I just wasn't in the dancing mood and after a half hour or so was out in the parking lot sitting in the car, talking on the phone to my friend Colette in New York. It didn't take long after I disappeared for my prospect to locate me and join in on the sitting action. I was surprised he knew where to find me, but perhaps all my talk about cars and more cars lead him to my car. I was impressed nevertheless.

cold I decided to open the power moonroof, which comes standard by the way, for some crisp fall air and to take in the stars. I know, it's so tacky but it's relevant. We sat in the Corolla's seats and talked for the duration of the evening. I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend my Friday night off than in a comfortable car, with a nice guy, talking and looking at stars. Ok, maybe I could have, but it would have included the BAR Honda Formula 1 car and perhaps Jenson Button. Sorry Toyota, but Panis is so old he's retiring, da Matta is history and way too short anyway, and newcomer (to you) Jarno Trulli has really silly hair.
