The 2009 Audi A4 spawns a wagon version
Or a nap-sack, or back-pack - depending on what you call it. Point is, the German luxury carmaker has announced the availability of their upcoming A4 in an Avant model. That's Audi for station-wagon, by the way. The next-generation model is nearly 5 inches longer and 10 percent stiffer than the one it replaces, but the frame is also 10 percent lighter, Audi claims. This creates a strong foundation for a revised drivetrain and suspension setup. Audi engineers have carefully tuned the all-wheel-drive A4 Avant to balance out comfort and driving pleasure, while the added traction of Quattro brings an all-weather dynamic to the equation.
