7,465,000 USD, or approximately $9.1 million CAD is the purchase price of a Ferrari 400 Superamerica

A 1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Cabriolet, used as a show car at the 1962 Geneva and New York auto shows, was sold by RM Auctions over the weekend for $7,645,000 USD (approx. $9.1 million CAD).

This particular Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Cabriolet was the final short-wheelbase Superamerica to be built by Ferrari, and it took part in a race at the Bonneville Salt Flats with its original owner R.J. Stallings, from Phoenix, Arizona.

The car switched hands over the years, returning to Europe in 1973 and staying with Charles Robert until 2005. It was then shipped back to the U.S. to be fully restored by noted Ferrari restorer Patrick Ottis.
