What's great about the Century is its high level of creature comforts. Most have power windows, power locks, power steering, power brakes, power driver's seat, air-conditioning (check to see if it's actually working) and luxurious velour-type cloth interiors. And how can I forget that all-American sign of luxury, faux woodgrain. In the ultimate style statement that woodgrain was continued on the outside - very chic. The gauge package is functional and switchgear works well enough, with variable intermittent wipers, plus cruise and audio controls on the steering wheel - Mom's favorite feature.

The front split bench seat can actually squeeze in three adults if absolutely necessary, while another three can fit into the middle bench seat more comfortably. Shouldn't I have said back seat? Yes, unless referring to the wagon that came with an optional rear facing jump seat - you know the car that drive's by with the grandkids pressing their chocolate covered lips up against a smeared rear window? While some concern themselves with the safety of such seats Buick at least took care of the driver with an optional airbag in 1993 that became standard in'94.
