The Rossa sports a minimalist interior, but that doesn't mean its devoid of style. A bright chrome 6-speed manual gear housing sits exposed, in all its gated glory. The Rossa uses motorcycle-style instrument pods, further highlighting its elemental, back to basics approach. (Photo: Pininfarina)

Its front engine rear drive layout is also in form with Ferrari's recent departure from mid-engine architecture for its top-tier models, more due to the availability of V12 powered rolling stock than a particular choice of the designer. Nevertheless its taut structure and wonderfully balanced chassis, incorporating all of what's best in the F550, would make for sensational driving dynamics if ever one were made available to test.

Of course that won't be the case. No one expected Ferrari to produce the Rossa no matter how much it stirred the collective soul of sports car aficionados worldwide. It's merely a life-size expression of pure, unadulterated emotion, and most importantly a testament to the close relationship the two firms enjoy. May this relationship continue infinitum.
