The audio system is superb and easy to operate, especially when using Jaguar's voice activation feature. Virtually all controls, from the aforementioned stereo to the cellular phone can be adjusted via speaking. What's more, is responds back. Any feature that keeps your eyes on the road is a valuable asset.
The dual-zone climate control system will keep driver and passengers at separate temperatures, which is a common feature in today's luxury car. The controls are relatively simple to operate, but like most multi-functional climate control systems it is a good idea to sit down for an hour with a manual to figure it out. Ditto for the aforementioned voice activation system.
Although storage space in the trunk is affected by the S-Type's rounded rear end, there is ample room for weekend jaunts and everyday activities. The back seat is reasonably accommodating as well, with enough space for large feet, wide shoulders as well as sufficient headroom, unless your passengers are extremely tall.
Most don't realize that this car shares its platform with Lincolns competent new LS. This fact has caused some very real concern with Jaguar aficionados. Fortunately, this relationship has benefited Lincoln much more than it has denigrated Jaguar. Its styling, performance and luxury should put to rest any questions of whether the new S-Type is a 'real' Jaguar.
