Unlike the 2nd and 3rd generation Camry, the wagon was dropped with the launch of the 4th version in 1997. The new 5th generation is not available as a wagon either. A coupe and convertible version is however, but the Solara receives its own separate identity and is based on the previous generation car.

In summation, there's nothing wrong with the new Camry. On the contrary, it does most everything right. Toyota answers the previous model's only negative feedback, in endowing the 2002 car with attractive styling and athletic road manners. The legend lives on.
