Its short overhangs accentuate ultra-large 21-inch front and 22-inch rear alloy wheels while an extremely generous 3,150 mm (121 in) wheelbase joins a low, raked roofline stretching the car's overall appearance. Its curves are as sensual as screen goddess Marilyn Munroe's - OK, maybe I've gone too far but for a car it gets the home fires burning. The fenders are muscular, but like a feline rather than canine, sinuous and athletic with a wide, low stance.

From the rear small, round taillights set in a brushed stainless steel façade stir memories of late '60s Corvairs while its tapered shape plays heavily on the late '70s to early '80s Corvette. Move over to the rear quarter view and its three slat side gills just aft of the front fenders are more akin to those on a '60s or early '70s Corvette. The rear door handle, sitting atop the rear fender swell is all 1970s 'Vette, a nice touch.
"This is a classic muscle car flavor interpreted in a modern way," stated SS exterior designer Franz von Holzhausen. "It speaks about muscle and power, but you also have the romance of the lines. Its DNA is clearly seen in the way we've modeled the fuselage, fenders and elements of the front and rear."
