What does it cost? At $15,485 it's a pretty inexpensive sedan - the coupe costs $300 dollars more. Load up the $21,550 Z24 coupe with a 4-speed automatic at $1,180, 16-inch alloy wheels at $815, side airbags at $495, Onstar at $995 and a sunroof at $950 and the price quickly jumps to $25,985 - still not bad for a sports coupe with these features. A Z24 sedan with the same features would cost slightly less at $25,685. Factor in a dealer discount and those tempting manufacturer incentives and its no wonder so many Cavaliers find their way into our driveways.
The Cavalier has been a fairly reliable car although resale values have traditionally suffered due to large volumes of fleet sales. Also interior fit and finish hasn't been as well executed as most of its competitors. All in all though, it's a decent car for the money and its updated styling and all-new engine make it an even better choice.
