The new 260-hp 3.6-L V6 powered SRX should follow this standard, including features such as a variable valve timing, a 5-speed automatic with Driver Shift Control, rear-wheel drive, StabiliTrak, speed-sensitive variable assist steering, 4-channel ABS with Panic Brake Assist and traction control, adjustable second row theatre-style seating, side curtain airbags, leather seating surfaces, one year OnStar Directions & Connections Service, for starters.

It's possible to dress the SRX up beyond all the previously mentioned standard equipment, with a 320-hp next-generation Northstar V8, 18-inch alloy wheels, reconfigurable storage, universal garage door opener, 6 CD changer, power passenger seat, wood trim, heated seats and power adjustable pedals.
Both V6 and V8 models can be ordered with additional options, including AWD, a power third row seat, an Ultra View or Ultra View Plus sunroof, a rear seat entertainment system, DVD navigation, Magnetic Ride Control, a Bose audio system, a 6-CD in-dash changer, etc.

According to Norm Sawula, marketing manager for luxury vehicles, "For Canadian drivers looking for a luxury utility vehicle with the heart and soul of a sports sedan, the SRX is their no compromise choice." Sawula continued, "The SRX combines dynamic performance, bold styling and flexible utility in one break through vehicle."
While there are a few SUVs in the Cadillac's category that can make such bold claims, the SRX at the very least incorporates all the right ingredients to follow through with its promises. The fact that it's built in St. Catharines, Ontario is icing on the cake.
