Distinct 5-spoke alloy rims highlight exterior upgrades, along with a reworked grille, front fog lamps, a racy rear spoiler, a chrome exhaust tip and unique taillights that integrate the reverse lamps, cleaning up the rear fascia.

Inside, the steering wheel gets two-tone leather trim while the shifter gets leather as well. The gauge package includes white-faced dials while the center stack and console offer a metallic finish that gives the entire cockpit a high-tech appearance. The seats get unique VR-X logos as well, plus don't forget the premium audio system upgrade.

Add the VR-X Leather package that includes leather seats, a power driver's seat with memory and power front passenger seat, and Mitsubishi's top-of-the-line Diamante is fully optioned out.
Prices have yet to be set but don't expect it to cost any more than a similarly equipped Acura TL or Toyota Avalon. And for the money the flagship Mitsubishi delivers distinctive styling, ample luxury and what looks to be exciting performance.
