That last point makes me wonder. Why didn't Toyota just add a few features, upgrade one or two trim items, increase the sound deadening and brand the Solara a Lexus, walking away with another $8,000 or so in the process? There's no doubt it is good enough. Oh sorry, I suppose I shouldn't give them any ideas.
