In the end, although this particular model is soon due for a complete makeover, it's still a worthy contender in the midsize luxury market. It's not cheap, especially considering that for a few thousand more it's possible to buy into a BMW 5-Series or Mercedes-Benz E Class, but that's a few thousand more over a fully loaded S80 - the German cars are just getting started. Really the Swede offers more car for the money when compared to these two. Maybe it's not that expensive after all?
