high-performance tires mounted on 8Jx19 wheels up front, to provide excellent grip and crisp steering, with even wider 255/35 R 19 tires and 9.5x19 wheels in the rear to ensure that every single one of the M3's horses are transferred to the pavement. To complement the wheel and tire package, slight tuning to the front and rear suspension, as well as a shorter steering ratio of 14.5:1 (instead of 15.4:1), make for a more agile and more responsive drive.

This new setting, actuated at the touch of a button, alters the settings on the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) program, allowing the driver to further explore the vehicle's potential for mechanical grip before the system cuts in. The new mode should prove to be popular with those who intend on racing their vehicles on track days, or for the experienced driver who wants additional oversteer-induced freedom and resultantly the ability to test his or her abilities in car control.
