Personally, I think smart should try the puppy dog close. Not only is the name for this extremely effective sales technique fitting, but allowing a buyer to take home the car overnight for a more intensive test would be ideal for something as new and unique as the fortwo. The system, named for a scheme dreamt up decades ago by pet store operators selling puppies, is starting to see results for GM. Even smarter, excuse the pun, would be to let potential owners have it for a week. That's all it took for me to fall for it.
