While there's zero chance of Volvo producing the XC70 All-Terrain Concept, the fact that an aftermarket producer took a leading role in its creation means that a good deal of the unique components seen on the concept could actually be available in the near future. And it only makes sense that Volvo would want to take on one of its main rivals, Volkswagen, both on the road and off - the Touareg is fully capable in both scenarios - with an off-road capable four-wheel drive system more likely to show up on the XC90 rather than the XC70.

Of course, the future hinges on how the public takes to this go anywhere, do anything Volvo station wagon.
