Like I said before,there's a lot more to the new Impreza than immediately visible. It's anexcellent car, even at its rather pricey $27,895 base sticker, thatreaches up to $29,095 if fully loaded with the aforementioned automatictransmission; a $1,200 option. Subaru's $1,395 freight and pre-deliverinspection charge increases the price over the $30K mark, which puts itwithin striking distance of Audi's new and superb A3 and Volvo'sequally delightful V50 - tough company to fight against.Mercedes-Benz's B200 starts around here too, but don't waste your timeunless your ego needs the boost of a three-pointed star. The OutbackSport is a much better car, almost worthy of compact premium status.
