Honda's four-door S2000 puts on quite a show
Do you want one?
Probably. There's the Mazdaspeed 6- which is similarly powerful, has much of the hardware and adds AWD- so you drive happily in winter. It's many thousands of dollars less, though not nearly as sharp.

The sole way the TL could be any better than it is would be if it was driven by the rear wheels.

You might look at the pinnacle BMW 5-series as well. It drives the proper set of wheels, but to equip one like the TL Type-S would cost $40,000 more, and the TL still offers up more power and torque.

Truly, Acura will need a rear-wheel drive platform relatively soon to stay competitive- though as a front wheel driver goes, it doesn't get any better than this.

I'd spin the front wheels to save $40,000 any day of the week.

Excellent engine and gearbox
Snarling V6 engine sound
Decent mileage when driving hard
Great bang for the buck in a premium sedan
Looks stop traffic, pedestrian and otherwise
Exhaust pipes like a V-12 sedan

Stereo could use some more punch
Slight vagueness to brake feel
Needs premium gas

Suspension noise and tight ride can become tiresome on extended trips
