The ultra-luxurious GL-Class is poised to take on any SUV that believes itself to be a luxury SUV. Opulence and refinement are the operative words for this large truck. The GL-Class borrows heavily from the completely revised for 2006 ML-Class.
The interior of the GL is shod in the finest materials and receives nearly every conceivable safety feature available on the market. A 5 or 7-seater configurations can be selected. The 5-passenger GL can carry up to 1,240 litres of cargo and with the second of seats folded flat, capacity increases to 2,300 litres.
One of the engine will be a diesel and will offer 224 hp 3.2 V6. The GL-450 will get a 340 hp 4.6L V8 and the top-of-the-line GL-500 will cruise around with 388 hp 5.5l V8. Each GL will come equipped with Mercedes' 4MATIC AWD system a 7-speed G-TONIC automatic transmission.
