The all-new Passat Estate has arrived. Obviously based on the new B6 Passat, the wagon is as elegant as ever. Trim levels and engine choices are identical to those of the sedan. This means that base models will get the impressive 200 hp 2.0T inline 4-cylinder along with the selection of either a 6-speed manual or automatic with manual mode. The higher-end models will receive the 280 hp 3.6L V6 mated to a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
If you select the V6, you will have the option of choosing Volkswagen's 4MOTION AWD system. The drive is impressively well controlled and comfortable, very much like any self-respecting German automobile.
