There is a four cylinder model available, as well as a highly-acclaimed hybrid-powered version. Each powerplant is available mated to front-wheel-drive only should that suit you better.

You can find more quietly powered and plusher machines at this price point, but Escape's updated style and comfortable capability should keep it more than competitive.
