The engine's fuel efficiency is very reasonable, averaging 11 L/100 km on the highway. The Tribute's steering is in line with that of Mazda's other products. Brand new in the 2008 model, the variable-assist rack-and-pinion steering is as precise as that of a car. Maybe this is where the Zoom Zoom Zoom comes into play.

The Tribute is basically unchanged from what we've been familiar with for a few years.

The more things change...
The Tribute is basically unchanged from what we've been familiar with for a few years now, and only its new exterior will try to convince you otherwise. It is an attractive vehicle, but is no more convincing than it has to be.

It certainly still has the features that made the first generation such a hit, but despite this, flaws remain. Like in any makeover, appearances may change, but personalities tend to remain the same.
