A minor issue, although it's not really the vehicle's fault, is that two testers were irritated by the rearmost headrests that block the view when they're pulled up. Geez, tell your passengers to push them back down before exiting and the problem is solved.
Finally, one person said that $25,915 for this Mazda5 (which includes $1,100 for the 5-speed automatic) is no bargain when you consider that a Grand Caravan, an Uplander or a Montana SV6 cost less once you pile on the incentives. A Mazda5 GS with air and automatic costs $23,715.
Conclusion
Parents or not, those who drove and evaluated our Mazda5 liked its interior space, decent fit and finish and reasonable fuel economy. The seating configuration doesn't please everyone, however, and cargo space obviously suffers when all seats are taken.
