Yet on the road, the car's ride didn't pound us silly, although we didn't drive for very long and certainly weren't seeking badly-maintained roads. We'll keep this part of the evaluation for when we get the car during a regular road test. Note that the TT's Magnetic Ride adjustable shocks are standard-issue in the TTS.
Sticker shock... maybe
The range-topping TTS starts at $57,600 for the 2+2 coupe and $61,900 for the 2-seat roadster. Options include 19-inch wheels, rear park assist, a navigation system and upgraded seating surfaces.
That's starting to get expensive, and the TTS still can't match the high-horsepower models from the competition. However, it undercuts them by several thousand dollars, and frankly, in real-world driving conditions, 265 ponies are more than enough.
The current-gen TT is a great-handling car with sexy looks, and a car that we like a lot. The TTS amplifies that appreciation with more power and even sweeter driving dynamics. We're anxious to park one in our driveway for a few days for a full road test report.

On the track, the car feels extremely capable, as its exhibits very little body roll. |
