Smooth luxurious ride
Often SUV/crossover manufacturers calibrate their suspension setups to provide athletic handling at the cost of ride comfort - not so with the Traverse. The absorbent arrangement underpinning the Traverse is ideal. It imparts a smooth, pleasing ride that isn't mushy or unstable. But don't go comparing the Traverse to a BMW X5 in the corners.
The Traverse communicates its weight when tossed into a corner or when its brakes are hammered. That said, the vehicle remains composed. I wouldn't change a thing about the calibration; it's perfect for the real world.
Traverse in a verse
Chevy's new full-size crossover is a winner. It's aesthetically pleasing but more importantly, it's a highly satisfying rig in which to enjoy mile after mile in the driver's seat or one of the many other comfy perches onboard.
Fuel economy is another strength of the Traverse. GM literature rates the AWD Traverse at 13.1 and 8.8 L/100K city and highway driving respectively, and that's good for a vehicle of this substance. With its Cash Back program, the Traverse offers tremendous value in a most competitive segment of the automotive market.
