Rolling on a set of 19-inch wheels, the tester's ride was mainly soft while erring on the side of 'sporty'. There's a note of stiffness dialed in for good measure, though the suspension can become noisy and rough over broken pavement. Wind and road noise are only average for the class, and other machines exist with less noise and more comfort.
Ultimately though, Journey amounts to the crossover SUV from the folks that invented and perfected the minivan. Where utility, equipment levels and family-readiness are concerned, the Journey SXT should easily impress value-minded shoppers.
Decked out with a full arsenal of goodies, the nicely-loaded tester came in at just over $29,000.
