Comfortable and nicely equipped
Standard equipment is fairly comprehensive with, among other features, climate control, AM/FM radio, front airbags and ABS brakes (discs up front, drums in the back). Designers incorporated a full-width overhead shelf to store multiple items.
The driver benefits from a comfortable yet very supportive seat (European style) offering 6-way adjustments. There's also a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, something the E-Series doesn't have. A three-passenger rear seat with 60/40 split-folding seatback completes the interior.
Rumor has it that the base price of this new vehicle will start somewhere between $20,000 and $25,000. The 2009 Ford Transit Connect will go on sale in Canada next summer.
