The Mazda CX-9 will fulfill the needs for those who need a spacious vehicle, but don't want to be stuck with something that loathes spirited driving. The CX-9 is no Porsche Cayenne, but it tries real hard to be like one.
Yet we're still talking about a big, heavy vehicle here. It seems to do everything right, but the required guesswork when backing up and living with a slightly punishing ride are two things I have a hard time to put up with. If you can live with that, however, the CX-9 is among the best 7-passenger SUVs out there.
