Stepping back from the Ralliart, as my co-driver put it, “it looks fancier than it feels inside.” The interior is simple, but this strikes at the root of the Ralliart’s spirit; it is a normal car made to into a driver’s car. On one hand you sit surrounded by seven airbags and electronic safety systems, but on the other hand you are treated to smart differentials and functional hood scoops which allude to something special.
The $33,198 Ralliart remains a treat to drive on any road surface, and the existence of split-folding rear seats and a trunk make it a better road-trip car than the EVO. If even more versatility is needed, check out the Lancer Sportback Ralliart.
