This is my theory anyhow as it is impossible to keep the fuel reservoir anywhere near full. My 500 km week-long test returned an average of 16.5L per 100 km which, all in all, isn't that bad given the Earth-shattering performance.
Massive “M” black enamelled aluminum brake callipers Massage Monumental 395 mm front and 385 mm rear ventilated discs. Yes, this thing will come to a full stop before you can say “Mommy”. Even in their worn-out, beaten and abused state as on our 12,000 + km tester, they still did an incredible job. Steering is Meaty and Monolithic where variable assistance and precision are concerned.
Here are a few more “M” ingredients for fun: M Servotronic steering, M-specific xDrive AWD, M-specific dynamic performance control, M-specific adaptive drive with active roll stabilization... M'enough?
“M” for the bang...
With a base price of $99,900, this vehicle will be a rare sight. As tested, our $109,900 X6 with extended merino leather ($4,500) and executive package ($5,500) is essentially the ultimate expression of power and prestige. A Cayenne Turbo would work too but it's more expensive at $120,000.
Quite very honestly, at $107,900, the equally well appointed X5 M is by far more pleasing aesthetically and you can use the $2,000 saved to fuel up the monster for about a month after purchase.

Few road-going vehicles exude more manliness than a virile pickup but a BMW X6 is a good place to start. (Photo: Matthieu Lambert/Auto123.com) |
