Chevrolet took the wraps off the new 2011 Camaro Cabriolet at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This is the first convertible in the Camaro lineup since 2002.
For the new generation, the automaker will offer the same powertrains as the coupe, namely a 312-horsepower, 3.6-litre V6 with direct injection and a 426-horsepower, 6.2-litre V8. A 6-speed manual gearbox comes standard and a 6-speed automatic is available.
The Camaro Cabriolet is scheduled to arrive in Canadian showrooms next February.
Last September at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas, an anonymous collector got the winning bid on the second production unit ever built at GM's Oshawa plant, in Ontario. It might have cost him US$ 205,000, but he'll be able to customize the car right down to the smallest accessory!
