We were expecting a “Confidence in Motion” Concept at the L.A.; actually, we weren’t expecting anything, because Subaru didn’t give us much to chew on. But what we got was the Impreza Concept instead. Now we’re talking.
“Confidence in Motion” is the name of Subaru’s new brand statement. The Impreza Concept features a four-passenger cockpit clad with leather upholstery, dark blue piping and double stitching.
The car boasts a dramatically-styled body, and a radical departure from the current-gen model. Sharp-edged bumpers, menacing headlights and fin-type fog lamps highlight the exterior design, while the coupe profile hides the rear doors; it is, after all, a sedan.
Not many powertrain details were released, apart from the obvious: an all-wheel drive layout, a boxer engine that displaces 2.0 litres and 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/40ZR19 tires.
