Move over, Prius
Of course, there’s always the danger of being distracted by the system while driving. The driver is still responsible for the use of it on the road.

Room for four
The cabin accommodates four adults perfectly, which is not the case of the similarly sized BMW 323i. The big bucket seats offer good support, and my only complaint is that the designers seem to have forgotten about storage compartments. They are as tiny as they are few. So much so that the cup holders on the centre console served as an impromptu stand for my iPod. However, the excellent Bluetooth system from Lexus allows you to leave your cell phone in your pocket.

It is obvious that certain consumers are waiting for just such a model, either to “do their part”.

With its three-part body, the HS 250h isn’t as versatile as the Prius. Like the Ford Fusion Hybrid, its trunk is non-expandable because the electric engine’s battery is housed behind the rear seat backs.

To buy or not to buy?
To me, the HS 250h is a paradox. Eco-friendly luxury car just seems like an oxymoron.

Yet it is obvious that certain consumers are waiting for just such a model, either to “do their part” for the environment or to stand out from their peers. But just how many consumers? Only the car’s commercial success will tell.
