Miscellaneous Observations
A stowed soft top obviously takes up less room than a stowed hardtop, so you get some luggage room. But don’t get too excited. One set of golf club is about the limit. And you can’t put anything behind the seats; most stuff will have to go into that trunk.
Passenger and driver have different seating cushions, and both have whiplash reducing active head restraints. The driver seat is the perfect firmness. While roomy enough, there is no wasted space in the seating area. Things are comfortably snug.
Nice-feeling suede pieces on the door panels.
With the top up, rear three-quarter visibility is not so good.
Conclusion
The Z car’s personality has evolved over time, especially with the arrival of the performance-above-all GT-R.
For many roadster fans it is a welcome evolution. This new iteration offers a heady mix of new-age performance and comfort, sexy look-at-me styling, and, now, keener pricing.
