Sweet dreams are made of these
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
When you read the words: "Most powerful production Corvette ever", you have to stop and think about its significance. 638 hp is the "more" in "more is never enough". The supercharged 6.2L LS9 V8 is a thug and wants nothing more than to destroy all. My limited time at the wheel of this car did not allow me to discover the depth of full go-pedal travel but partial throttle applications in second gear were sufficient for me to think to myself: "Are you sure you really want more?" "Can you handle it"?

Loud and proud, the C6 ZR1's shape is all Corvette. (Photo: Matthieu Lambert/Auto123.com)

Loud and proud, the C6 ZR1's shape is all Corvette and other than its clear power-dome hood and, in this case, signature Cyber Grey Metallic hue, most will never notice that this is more, way more than a regular Vette. Its standard ceramic brakes and carbon fibre front fenders, roof, roof bow, front splitter, rocker extensions and floor, amongst other details, make this a very special car.

The ZR1's sorest point is its interior as it is a window into GM's past with lacklustre materials and fit and finish. But you are most likely not going to pay much attention to the dashboard as you'll be firmly gripping the wheel with both hands, flying past cones at lightning fast velocities looking for the next straight to chew up and spit out.

We'd like to thank Gravel Auto for providing us the Corvette ZR1.
