With 2011 about to be over, we thought we would do a little recap of the highs and lows in the auto industry. So, we've come up with a report card for every manufacturer but didn't bother with grades or ratings. There's a good reason for that: some of them would have failed.
However, if we had to give scores, we would consider automakers from a geographic standpoint. Here's how they would rank:
Koreans: 94%
Europeans: 86%
Americans: 78%
Japanese: 73%
Clearly, the Koreans are riding a tidal wave, but the Europeans are right on their tails. Detroit's Big 3 will never let go, especially in their own backyard (read: North America). And then there are the Japanese. If you'd like to witness a spectacular comeback in 2012, just watch them.
