A Different Pickup Line
Also important is the convenience of concealed, locked storage.

Large trunk beneath bed
Unique to the Ridgeline is a large lockable, waterproof storage well concealed beneath the bed of the cargo box. It is easily accessed via a trap door in the floor of the box. I know several Ridgeline owners, and they find this feature to be of enormous benefit.

The under-bed trunk is also where the spare tire is stored, which is a far more humane location to free it from than under the truck on a rainy night. Unfortunately, it’s not a full-size spare.

Ridgeline – the last line
Honda’s interpretation of the modern pickup is remarkably clever yet less brawny than full-size offerings from the big three. It’s easier to drive, park and handle but does not have the grit of the big boys when it comes to box size and hauling ability.

That said, the Ridgeline’s “lite” pickup truck status enables better fuel economy and an easier-to-live-with truck persona, making it a “different pickup line.”
