It is so easy to get incredibly comfortable in the standard leather seats that are 10-way power adjustable with lumbar support. The leather wrapped steering wheel tilts and telescopes and features redundant audio controls. I could sit for hours in this crossover.
Another major improvement from last year is the extraordinarily quiet cabin. Lincoln has added details like a thicker windshield and acoustic headliners. It was very pleasant to carry on a conversation with all passengers in the vehicle. Even at highway speeds, there was very little road and wind noise inside.
The second row is a 60/40 split bench that reclines and has a fold-forward armrest with cup holders. Even the passengers in this row will be comfortable on long journeys.
Safety for everyone on board has been thought of including a full complement of airbags, four wheel ABS, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and the optional adaptive cruise control and collision warning system with brake support.
Pricing starts at $46,500 and if you want to add on all the bells and whistles and enjoy every bit of luxury you can, you'll be required to pay just under $60,000.
A few upgrades are available that make this crossover extra luxurious. Heated steering wheel, ambient coloured lighting, rear view camera, 20-inch chrome clad wheels and a Panoramic Vista Sun Roof.
I think that I agree with Hak Soo Ha, the Exterior Design Manager who said the MKX is “Technology that people need, perfectly embedded within the styling that customers want.”
