Rolling statue
Competition? You could consider the Aston Martin Rapide, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S, the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, or the Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG, which are much sportier than the Ghost -- not to mention less expensive. On the other hand, a Bentley Mulsanne and a Maybach 57 are pricier.

Does the Rolls-Royce Ghost honour the Spirit of Ecstasy as well as the Phantom? Well, it’s still outrageously priced and almost as snobbishly luxurious, so I would have to say yes. As a driver’s car, there are more interesting alternatives such as those mentioned in the previous paragraph, but as a cost--is-almost-no-object display of power and prestige, the Ghost makes the long-lasting impression of a rolling statue.
