Standard features will include a leather-wrapped, flat-bottomed steering wheel with integrated audio controls, an 8-speaker sound system with USB port, eight airbags, air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, cruise control, remote keyless entry, a power sunroof, a 60/40-split folding rear seat and variable intermittent wipers.
In typical Scion fashion, a complete catalogue of accessories is available to customize the tC, such as fog lamps, aerodynamic body kits, a rear spoiler, ambiance lighting, floor mats, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod integration and a navigation system. Performance-enhancing bits and pieces like upgraded brake pads, a limited-slip differential, a cold air intake, a front strut brace and a lowering springs kit will also be offered.
No pricing has been announced yet, so let’s guess. With its equipment content, its current U.S. pricing and how much its Honda and Kia rivals cost, we think the tC will be offered in Canada with a base price of $19,000.
The 2011 Scion tC will arrive this September, and will be available in one of 46 dealerships currently being set up in the Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal areas.
