The 4WD Base starts at just over $27,000 and the Limited 4WD will start you off at $32,385.

Toyota is the first full-line manufacturer to make six active safety features standard on every new 2011 model. This means that each RAV4 has stability control, traction control, antilock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist and Smart Stop Technology as standard equipment.

There is an available third row of seats on the V6–but really are kind of useless. Of course, it could be nice to have as an option, but I would not want to use it every day.

Fuel consumption rating is 9.5 L/100 km in the city, 6.9 on the highway and 8.3 with combined driving.

Looking for better fuel efficiency? At the LA Auto show last fall, Toyota revealed the Toyota RAV4 electric vehicle. We will share more info on this as we get it.

This is one of my top picks in this class, but that rear-swinging door really makes me stop and consider if it would fit my current lifestyle.

For the overall ride and handling, I love the RAV4. It gives you space, flexibility and comfort with a touch of ruggedness that will appeal to a wide variety of people.
