Wagonny-crossover a pleasing people-mover
Emerging hours later from the theatre, we're weak from laughter. Unfortunately, our thai food doggy bags so carefully placed on the back seat had somehow disgorged some of their contents on the pale grey upholstery – in an uncanny resemblance to the infamous dress-fitting scene in the movie. Grabbing a wet cloth, I plan on mopping up the worst of the green and brown goo, and applying some stain remover when I got home.

Much to my surprise, one swipe of the wet cloth removed all of the mess, without even a faint outline indicating where it was. Upholstery like this will prove invaluable to those with young children, or those with active, outdoorsy lifestyles.

Overall, I'm surprised at how well the Venza inserted itself into my single, childless life – accommodating my friends, their packages, my bicycle and horse gear – all with relative ease.

Wagon, crossover – however you define it, the Toyota Venza has much to recommend as a stylish and flexible people-mover. The Venza V6 with AWD starts at $32,250.
