Outstanding European Driving Experience
I greatly enjoyed my tester’s lively handling characteristics. The CC’s driver-centric feedback and composed, stable cornering ability combine to create a spirited vehicle that rewards drivers seeking the comfort and attributes of sedan but not at the cost of diminished athleticism.

2.0-litre mill is economical in addition to powerful
VW’s 2.0 FSI four-banger is an exceptionally well-refined powerplant that produces impressive results the moment its tachometer’s brilliant red needle commences an upward swing. The abundance of low-end torque enables the CC to pull strongly without the need to engage in high revving frenetic.

Under full throttle, an easily manageable degree of toque-steer can creep into the operation, however, this can become exaggerated depending on the road surface and contour.

The low-end torque is so prominent that it imparts the feel of a diesel powerplant without imposing the rev limitations therein. Fuel economy is also similar to a diesel mill, with 9.6L/100km and 6.6L/100km city and highway driving respectively (DSG-equipped). Unfortunately, premium fuel is recommended.

Wrapping the Passat CC
The 2011 Passat CC 2.0 FSI delivers a very European motoring experience that doesn’t cheat drivers out of a composed, smooth ride or decent fuel economy in order to achieve its stirring performance. The car is a sporty sedan, projecting some of the most scintillating lines that any 4-door ride has ever been capable of. It also manages to comfortably accommodate four adults and lots of cargo.
