General Motors announced that the veil will be lifted off the 2013 Cadillac ATS at the Detroit Auto Show next January alongside four other concept or production models.
The RWD compact luxury sedan will position itself as Cadillac’s entry-level model in a segment dominated by the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Expectations are extremely high for the ATS, and it will have the difficult task of distracting consumers from vehicles that have carved out an enviable reputation for themselves.

Production of the ATS will start next summer in Michigan.
